To the Citizens of Riverton

It has come to our attention that the majority of our utility customers have not received their utility bills for October 2026 yet.  All of the October bills were hand carried to the Riverton Post Office on September 30, 2026.  Under normal circumstances, the post office process that mail and customers receive the bill within 1-2 days.  It has now been 7 days since we mailed the bills and we have no explanation on when they will actual be delivered to our customers.  The normal payment due date is the 17th of the month and that will remain unchanged at this time.  For customers with past due balances, the turn off day will be the 13th since the 10th falls on a weekend.  If any customer needs a copy of their bill or wants to know the balance that needs paid, please contact the Village Utility Office at 217-629-9122.
