Mission Statement

The Riverton Village Library selects, acquires, organizes and provides access to books and other materials of contemporary interest and/or permanent value for the educational, informational, cultural and recreational needs of the community's users. The Library also promotes the importance and appreciation of reading through adult and children's programs.

The Library is governed by a 7 member Board consisting of:

  • President- Brenda Kelley
  • Vice president- Jim Cribbett
  • Secretary- Patricia Sowers
  • Treasurer- Jane Cribbett
  • Kate Fanale, Carol Danner, Linda Yeaman
  • Library Director: Jennifer Cernich
  • Assistant Librarian: Lisa Nerone, Robin Rushing, Dan Carter, Marie Vicher and Allison Walters

The Library Board meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the library.

Get to Know Your Riverton Village Library

The Riverton Village Library is a community resource that is free for people living within the corporate limits of Riverton. As your library, it offers many services and benefits besides a large collection of books:

  • Current DVDs, videos and CDs: free checkout
  • 2 Public computers, and mobile printing service.
  • Printing & Copies: 10 cents/page for black and white, 20 cents/page for colors.  Scanning at no cost
  • FAX machine: $1.00 up to 10 pages
  • Three Loanable Hotspots
  • Good selection of best sellers
  • Interlibrary loan: books can be borrowed for you from other libraries and your card works at many local libraries. 
  • Digital Resources from Cloud Library Libby

These services available to those outside the corporate limits for $45/year per family
